One of the things I love most about Thomas Edison Charter School is that it's all about families. Students not only have a strong support network of faculty and staff, but the school sets high standards for parental and family involvement in each child's education. There's also a strong emphasis on goal setting—a process which creates concrete ways in which everyone on campus can improve their performance. Working together, we all become a little better every day.
I love outdoor adventures. Fun fact: When I was in college, I spent two summers living in a tent in Kodiak, Alaska. The only reason I came home was because a bear wandered through camp. That was a little too adventurous for my taste!
