Thomas Edison Charter School is an incredible school with students and staff that are extraordinary. We hold our kids to high expectations and they rise to the occasion. As a 21 year veteran with our program I have seen many successes that were thought to be improbable. That is exactly what I love about our program - the impossible becomes possible. Students gain confidence and are able to feel success which leads to greater successes.
I not only love teaching history, I love living history as well. Anytime I can immerse myself in the culture of the time period I am studying, I relish in it. Historical tours are always the highlight of my summers and is a wonderful way to help me bring history alive in my classrooms which is also part of why I chose to pursue a masters in US history. It was a lot of hard work, but I enjoyed the learning process that came with the struggle.
Outside of the history world, the natural vitamin D from the mountain sun is my favorite mood booster and where I love to spend time with my family and friends. Anytime I can hike, camp, or fish is a day worth cherishing.
